Welcome to the heart of the Ann Arbor (MI) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated—our transformative Programs and Facets.
Since our chapter was officially established in 1979, we have been a dedicated volunteer service organization of professional African American women, committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the cultural and economic survival of African Americans and others of African ancestry in Washtenaw County.
Our impactful community work is structured around The Links, Incorporated's five core national facets. These areas of focus allow us to address the most critical needs of our community through strategic, integrated programming and strong community partnerships.
Our Five Core Facets of Service
Our programs are designed to create lasting change and are organized under the following five facets:
Services to Youth
The Arts
Health & Human Services
National Trends & Services
International Trends and Services: Expanding our platform globally, this facet provides services and delivers transformational programs designed to address the educational, health, and cultural needs of people of African descent throughout the world. This work is part of our commitment to improving the quality of life for our global community.
Through our programmatic theme, such as focusing on Community Resilience through Literacy in collaboration with community partners and families, the Ann Arbor (MI) Chapter strives to close the achievement gap and make a positive, measurable difference in the lives of Washtenaw County residents.
